Knitting

I began knitting a decade ago, when I walked into a little yarn store in my hometown and the owner showed me the basic knit and purl stitches. I've added more complicated techniques to my repretoire over the years thanks to the power of google and practice. I mostly knit weird little stuffed things but occasionally make more useful things like hats and scarves. Some past projects:

Embroidery

I also learned how to embroider when I was in high school but it wasn't really until 2018 that I started doing it somewhat regularly. I've done a couple embroidery projects that are NSFW, which I will add as soon as I can figure out how to spoiler tag them. My most recent project was Ms. Frizzle, the last photo below. My current work in progress is a portrait of Daphne & Velma from Scooby Doo - part of a larger series I'm doing called "lesbians from my childhood."

Weaving

I started weaving in summer of 2020 and as of yet haven't really finished anything. I'd impulse bought a rigid heddle loom, which you can see a little video of me using below. Honestly, I was inspired by the sappho quote “Sweet mother, I cannot weave – slender Aphrodite has overcome me with longing for a girl.” In the future I'm planning on weaving some tapestries, perhaps some tote bags, maybe fabric to turn into clothes or dish towels, really the possibilities are endless.
